Bohemian Beach Boutique prides itself on exceptional customer service and engaging with its customers. We appreciate that you have questions and, in an effort to support you, we have conveniently put together some of the answers:
Where do your products come from?
While some of our products originate locally here in Canada, others are manufactured in or shipped from international suppliers, primarily being the U.S.A., China and Bali.
Are you really a sustainable & ethical business?
Yes! We have selected manufacturers and suppliers who either support their communities or express importance in preserving our beautiful planet. Sustainable and ethical business practices take shape in many forms. As a result, some of our products are vegan, while some are hand-made in ethical environments and others are made with materials derived from naturally reproducing plants. In addition, some of our products are made in Canada and North America, which helps minimize the negative impacts of transporting from over seas. The Bohemian Beach Boutique office also takes measures to ensure waste reduction, recycling and minimizing power usage as much as possible. Unfortunately, we do not have the perfect solution for 100% sustainability but we believe that every step counts. We are happy to make progress in this area as we grow!
Are your products shipped from a central location?
Yes! Bohemian Beach Boutique is passionate about creating a personal shopping experience. As a result, we DO NOT use drop shipping and have all products shipped to a central location, from which we directly ship your orders. In doing this, we can ensure quality control and add personal touches to your order prior to final shipping. In addition, shipping your order from a central location ensures more accuracy with shipping time. All orders within Canada are shipped with Canada Post and all international orders are shipped with UPS. If you receive an order in the mail that is lacking the time and attention it deserved, please do not hesitate to contact us; We would love the opportunity to make it right!
Please note that because we do not use drop shipping methods, our Boutique might not appear to have as much variety as others. However, we strive to continually search the market for the most up-to-date and trendy Bohemian styles that reflect our mission, vision and values. Bohemian Beach Boutique will continually offer new products, so check back often!
How do I know if my product has shipped?
All customers should receive an email confirming your order, followed-by an email confirming your tracking number. Please note that it can take 24 – 72 hours for you to receive either of these confirmations. If you have not received an order confirmation and/or tracking number after 72 hours, please contact us.
What if my order arrives past the expected delivery date?
Bohemian Beach Boutique ships through Canada Post and UPS and offers an estimated shipping time of 5 to 14 business days. However, sometimes things happen beyond our control and shipping can be delayed. That said, we also understand how much our customers excitedly anticipate the receipt of their orders; We know it can be disappointing for an order delay. As a result, if you do not receive your order after twenty (20) days from the date of shipping, we will be happy to discuss a potential discount, refund or promotion in exchange for your patience. If your order does not arrive within thirty (30) days from the date of shipping, we agree that such is not only disappointing but fully unsatisfactory. As a result, in that case, we will offer a full refund on your order. If ever your order is delayed, please do not hesitate to contact us.
What if I received a delivery confirmation notice but my product was not delivered?
That sure sounds disappointing! If you receive a delivery confirmation notice but your product has not arrived, please contact us. We will work with the appropriate shipping company and do our best to trace your order and its location. If we are unable to locate your order and you provided us with the correct shipping information, we will be happy to either re-ship your products at no additional cost and with no additional shipping fees or offer a full refund.
What if I entered the wrong address?
You, as a customer, are responsible for providing Bohemian Beach Boutique with the correct mailing address. Bohemian Beach Boutique is not responsible for any products that have been shipped to the incorrect address that you provided. If this happens, we recommend contacting Canada Post or UPS with your tracking information to see if they can locate your package. Please note that a product that has been misdelivered because you provided incorrect shipping information will be considered Lost or Stolen. Bohemian Beach Boutique is not responsible for packages that are Lost or Stolen once delivered.
How come you do not offer free shipping?
Bohemian Beach Boutique offers conditional free shipping, being free shipping in Canada and the USA on orders of $100 or more, before tax. In addition, Bohemian Beach Boutique offers free shipping on all returns, from all countries.
Do you have any brick-and-mortar locations?
At this time, Bohemian Beach Boutique is only available online. However, as our business grows and we have more time to connect with our customers, we certainly hope to build brick-and-mortar locations throughout Canada. We very much look forward to connecting with you in person in the future!
I received the wrong product or the product is damaged - what do I do?
Oops! We sincerely apologize! We understand and appreciate that it is no fun anticipating your purchase, only to discover that what you purchased is not found, or even worse, it is found damaged, when you tear open the delivery package.
If you receive the wrong product, please let us know within 24 hours of receipt that you received the wrong product. Bohemian Beach Boutique will pay for shipping to have the product you received returned to us. As soon as we are in receipt of the product, we will ship the correct product to you at no additional charge and with no shipping fees. Please note that in this situation, you WILL NOT be fully reimbursed for the original purchase transaction. We know you understand that mistakes happen and we are doing our best to rectify the situation by getting your correct product to you as quickly as possible.
If your product is damaged upon delivery, please let us know within 24 hours of receipt, and provide us with images of the damage. Bohemian Beach Boutique will pay for shipping to have the damaged product returned to us. As soon as we are in receipt of the damaged product, we will ship a new product to you at no additional charge and with no additional shipping fees. Please note that in this situation, you WILL NOT be fully reimbursed for the original purchase transaction. We know you understand that mistakes happen and we are doing our best to rectify the situation by getting a brand-new product to you as quickly as possible.
Can I cancel my order?
As soon as your order is placed and payment is received, we are automatically notified to proceed with order processing. If you place an order and decide that you no longer wish to fulfill your order, please let us know within 24 hours. IF your order has not yet been processed, we will be able to cancel the order and return your money. If your order has already been processed, then, unfortunately, we will not be able to cancel your order. In that case, we will mail your order and when you receive it you can initiate the return process, should you choose.
How do I leave a review on your site?
Bohemian Beach Boutique is always excited to receive feedback from our customers. If you would like to post a review or testimonial, please feel free to join the Bohemian Beach Boutique Facebook group where you can participate in conversations and post reviews or testimonials at your convenience. You can also post to any of our social media platforms, being Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest or tag us @bohobeachboutiquecanada. Please also include the hashtags #bohoboutiquecanada and #beautifulandunconventional on any posts and tags. If you do not frequent social media, we would be happy to receive your comments via email to info@bohobeachboutique.ca, and share publicly on your behalf. Please note that any comments, reviews or testimonials provided on the Bohemian Beach Boutique Blog or any of our social media platforms can be used for future advertising and promotional purposes. What does being Boho Mean?
Boho is short for Bohemian and represents a lifestyle and fashion style inspired by the free spirits and hippies of the 1960s and 1970s, and even the pre-Raphaelite women of the late 19th century. Being Boho means being laid back and living and dressing unconventionally.
Does Boho mean Hippie?
No, not directly. While Boho, aka Bohemian, fashion is primarily influenced by the fashion of the 60s and 70s hippies, it is not a complete representation of that fashion era. Boho also incorporates a laid-back beach energy and fashion trends.
Is Boho still in style?
YES! Boho chic fashion is still very much in style and the 2021 and 2022 trends even modernizes the 70s fashion influence, making it more on point than ever! Beachy, chic and unconventional - can it ever go out of style? We think (and hope) not!
